Memorable Dinner and Charming Stay
Enjoyed a cozy evening with delicious food that exceeded expectations. The rib eye was perfectly cooked, though the risotto missed the mark. Loved the large, immaculate room with a comfy bed, but a shower fitting would enhance the experience. Bring snacks as breakfast isn't provided.

Cozy stay with tasty bites!
We had a lovely couple of nights! The room was spacious and super quiet, which was a nice surprise. The staff were super friendly, and I gotta say, that late-night burger we ordered was better than we expected. Just wish the coffee options were a bit more varied. great pub vibe and comfy stay.

Had a fantastic time with friends visiting Wells Cathedral and Longleat! The charming pub atmosphere was perfect, and the staff made us feel right at home. Rooms were cozy, and breakfast was delicious. Just a heads-up, WiFi could be a bit spotty in the rooms.

The charm of the Red Lion greets you as you step inside. I loved the decor in the pub, radiating warmth and inviting vibes. The outside pizza oven caught my eye, and I couldn't resist trying the pizza, which turned out to be divine. The staff made me feel right at home, friendly and helpful throughout my stay. I appreciated the cozy atmosphere and found my double room comfortable with modern touches. there was some dust on the radiator, which made the room feel less clean. The shower pressure was quite low, making it frustrating to get ready. Breakfast had tasty options but fell short on selection. No granola for a healthy choice. a lovely stay with room for improvement in cleanliness and shower pressure.

Food was fantastic a real surprise for a pub of this caliber and the staff were friendly looking out for little things that made the stay even better. They even had ground coffee and a cafetiere in my room which just shows they care about the experience not just the basics.
It wasn't exactly budget-friendly but still reasonable for what you get.

comfortable stay with excellent access to nearby attractions
I had a great experience with friendly staff and very comfortable accommodations while staying here as a solo traveler. it’s an ideal base for exploring attractions like Haynes International Motor Museum and Cary Alpacas, both just a short drive away. The room was cozy, but I would have appreciated additional space to store my suitcase rather than placing it on the floor.
